Announcing the Student Photo Contest for 2019 Georgia Climate Conference

September 26, 2019

Submissions due October 15

The Georgia Climate Project is excited to announce a Student Climate Photo Contest for college and university students. The top ten photo submissions will be displayed this November 7-8 at the 2019 Georgia Climate Conference at the Emory Conference Center in Atlanta, GA.

Students who have a photo in the top ten will also be granted free attendance to the conference. Winners will be announced at the conference – First Place will receive a $300 cash prize, and Fan Favorite will receive a $200 cash prize.

We are looking for photos that discuss either:

  1. The impacts of climate change on Georgia; and/or
  2. Climate solutions in Georgia. Climate solutions include efforts to either (a) adapt and build resilience to the impacts of climate change and/or (b) reduce net greenhouse gas emissions

All photo submissions must be accompanied by a title and caption that explains how the photo is related to a climate change impact or solution in Georgia.

The photo competition is now closed. Many thanks to those who submitted entries!

The Georgia Climate Project strives to create healthier conversation around climate change by highlighting stories of Georgians whose lives and livelihoods are impacted by climate change, as well as the practical steps they are taking to respond to climate change.
